Asset Evaluation & Due Diligence Study

An NOC in North Africa commissioned SAHI to perform a technical due diligence study to assess incremental oil production viability in a mature producing oil field.
In this integrated study, a series of tasks related to subsurface, facilities & infrastructure, cost & economics, and HSE were completed by our team of consultants. SAHI Energy delivered a detailed evaluation of the client’s asset, along with all geological & reservoir analyses, seismic interpretations, a 3D geologic model containing 250+ wells, and several reservoir simulation models that were used for production history matching and forecasts.
The study put forward a field development plan that would increase production by 400%, and was instrumental in attracting external investors, and ultimately, the award of a Production Sharing Service Agreement.
Production Enhancement in Aging Oilfield
Client: Independent Oil Company in Central Europe
Scope: Integrated Reservoir Study

An independent E&P company approached SAHI to investigate their field’s declining production, with the objective of proposing a remediation plan to help increase the field’s production.
SAHI conducted comprehensive analyses for historical and current reservoir performance, well integrity, and artificial lifting efficiency.
A multi-phase remediation plan was proposed, based on this analysis, resulting in a 25% production increase in the first 3-months of implementation as part of the initial remediation phase.
Furthermore, SAHI helped the client to secure approval by the local authorities for an amendment to the current FDP, which involves major capital investment and significant production increase for the remainder of the license period.

An NOC in West Africa sought SAHI’s expert opinion in technical and commercial aspects of an audit involving a contractor and license holder of an exploration oil block in the country.
SAHI’s insights played a key role in facilitating dispute resolution, contractual negotiations and ensuring compliance and transparency, ultimately leading to the amendment of the Production Sharing Contract to include new terms & conditions favorable to our client.

Our client was interested an a ‘Farm-in’ opportunity for an asset in West Africa and required SAHI’s expert advisory to inform their investment decision.
SAHI Energy consultants managed interactions with the Ministry of Petroleum to secure access to the exploration data room, and performed initial screening, which later informed the identification and purchase of full dataset to conduct further analysis and properly evaluate the opportunity and risks associated with the asset.
A detailed due diligence study was then carried out by our team of consultants, with focus on resource assessment & reserves verification, technical & commercial risks, and proposed development strategy.
